Creme de Figue uses Sumatra and Punjabi Rustica leaf tobaccos with the midribs and stalks removed, matured and scented with fig arrack. The aroma is fig-forward, with natural tobacco, raisin, and bread notes underneath. Tasting notes include fig, sweet fruit, earthy and toasted undertones, with an oat-like character. Nicotine strength is strong, high nicotine.
The grind is coarse with medium moisture. The tobacco base contributes bready and earthy notes beneath the fig scenting.

A lot of reviews I saw stating it was bland or not that great, I totally disagree. I found it to be nice, coarse, easy to take and very pleasant and tasty. Nice and subtle let it build in your nose by taking multiple pinches. An absolute banger IMO to add to your collection. A nice cream and fig scent subtle fusion on your nose accompanied by a beautiful combination of tobaccos well done SWS.
The only resemblance this tobacco has to "figue" is that it smells like something left in the fruit drawer too long. Coarse texture makes it useless for bullets. Very mild aroma, not especially pleasant. Hardly any nicotine kick. (Maybe I should have read the other reviewer's note about the necessity of refrigeration, I didn't see that anywhere on the package.)
I order the big buckets it seems 50gr and they come in the mail you laugh compared to your regular tins .
This one Rosiline , fifty fifty, Anson Imp, thrice brew, latakia I will buy keep in big tins no problem.
On the back of the tin, under the health warning, in a print too fine for my unassisted eyes to see, the following manufacturer’s instructions are written: “REFRIDERATE AND KEEP TIGHTLY CLOSED AFTER OPENING”. Sir Walter Scott fabricates artisanal snuff in which the ribs and stalks of the tobacco leaves have been removed. No preservatives are added and not all ingredients are torrefied. As such, tins must be refrigerated after opening. This is very unusual for snuff and not every pinch reviewer is aware of these explicit instructions. Not heeding the order may alter the flavour and negatively affect the snuff taking experience.
Crème de Figue is subtle. At first, its coarse grind is off-putting. Granular, the snuff looks like the sawdust of Circassian Walnut. The half-filled tin is insulting, but the content’s 15g weight is exact. Upon opening, it smells like a bag of ordinary pipe tobacco. Upon uptake, you get a little burn and barely anything to taste. At first Crème de Figue treads lightly but then rhythmically builds, like Maurice Ravel’s Boléro, slowly adding intensity and flavour, layer by subtle layer. The snuff is dry, yet bonds itself to the nostrils by humidity of the nasal cavity. Its rough grind prevents the throat drip associated with dry powders and uses the Arak to release the essences of fig, molasses, vanilla and Spanish cedar into the pallet. Very long in the nose, the pleasure unwraps itself slowly like the wax paper of saltwater taffy. After a goodly moment you bring the tin to your nose to discover the familiarity that lurked within it all along: the rejoicing memory of the humidor at your favourite cigar shop.
Decided to give this a try along with Aged Border Rapee. Since it is from the border region, I like to imagine my ancestors used the same stuff.
The can is very nice, I like the twist lid A LOT.
The scent of it reminds me more of fine pipe tobacco like Samuel Gawith. Has a bready, figgy, rich scent to it (I bet the same flavoring would make a fine smoke on some flake tobacco).
Moisture is deceptive, looks dry but has just right and clumps if you pinch it.
The very coarse grind is probably my only complaint. I would prefer it if it were a bit finer (like SG Kendall Brown, not super fine).
Nicotine is pretty good.
