Orange peel revival for dry coarse snuff

You'll need Tick as you go

• Dried-out coarse snuff
• A large piece of orange peel
• Chopped orange zest (optional, for more flavour)

Method

1. Step 1 of 3Lay the peel soft side up and spread the snuff over it.
2. Step 2 of 3Leave it for about two hours, until the snuff has taken up moisture and scent.
3. Step 3 of 3For a stronger orange flavour, mix the snuff with chopped zest instead, leave it for an hour or two, then pick the zest out.

Rest time

One to two hours.

Notes

If the snuff ends up too moist, mix in some dry snuff. You can also scent snuff by dropping one dry, unpeeled tonka bean into a small tin of it, and a few drops of rose hydrosol will moisten an old snuff and give it a light scent.
