Viking - Brown
Viking - Brown
Viking Brown has a medium-coarse grind with moist texture and dark brown colour. The blend uses dark-fired tobacco as its base, with tasting notes that include smoky, earthy, and natural tobacco flavours, along with leather, hay, molasses, and wood. An ammonia note from the alkalizer adds to the blend's character.
The aroma is campfire-like and smoky, with woodsy undertones. Nicotine strength is medium to medium-high. The coarse grind and moist texture make it easy to pinch despite the large grain size.

Of all the neat sound snuffs from Viking I prefer the Brown. A strong full bodied tobacco with a smokey, leathery, rich tobacco scent. The grind is coarse, the nicotine is high, and the scent lasts a good while. Definitely worth your while if you enjoy a stronger snuff.
Easy to take snuff but my first impression of it is like having your dogs chewed up rawhide bone under your nose constantly.
My favorite Viking. Good, reliable nicotine kick and seldom fails to give you hiccups like a strong cigar. Excellent flavor / aroma profile that evolves as it goes along. A good bit of nose drip at first-- keep a hanky handy-- but abates after a while to a very pleasant experience. Somewhat coarse and moist, but just enough to make it relatively easy to take. Highly recommended.
This one surprised me. Very coarse, dark brown with a campfire sort of smell. Very enjoyable and very easy on the nose with little burn. Keep a hankie close by due to some drip out the front. Overall a great snuff.
I had really high hopes for the brown because of the reviews that I had read but I was a bit dissapointed . I think the reason may be due to the fact that the first viking I tried was thors hammer, which in my opinion is every bit as good as some of the artisan snuffs in complexity , scent, taste, and with an unparalleled nicotine kick . The hammer has it all. A kick, and great flavor. There's no substitutes.
