J & H Wilson - SP No1
J & H Wilson SP No1 has a medium-fine grind with dry to moderate moisture. The snuff uses a Virginia or Burley tobacco base with bergamot as the primary scenting, placing it in the SP category. Tasting notes include bergamot, citrus, and lavender, with bread and honey notes from the base tobacco.
The bergamot application is restrained compared to other SP snuffs, allowing the tobacco character to remain noticeable. The colour is medium to light brown with a faint orange tinge. Nicotine strength is low to medium.

In contrast to Sharrow's Best SP? This is a much more heavy, assuming it's also high and dry roasted? Amazing bursts bergamot/sour orange hits your nostrils, followed up by lemon zest, and a lingering but potent flavor of tobacco. Afterwards the two mix really nice, and scent last long. High nicotine content. Pinch liberally for the true experience

I actually like this very much. It's dry but somehow doesn't burn. It's sort of SP but without too much bergamot. Takes well in a bullet since it's dry. Nothing particular stands out but for that reason I can see myself use it a couple times daily.
I was expecting far more heavier bergamot and lemon notes as per some of the reviews and product description, but I'm in agreement with Simon and his review. I wonder if the larger tins has more of a scent than the smaller 5g tin. I see this as something that I can take a lot of, quickly, with no menthol burn. I might buy the larger tin next time to see if there is any difference, or look for other bergamot snuffs. I love earl grey tea and I was excited to learn that they made bergamot snuffs but this doesn't live up to the true bergamot flavor.
