Simply Snuff - Ding Dong
Simply Snuff - Ding Dong
Ding Dong! was one of Leslie Phillips most famous catch phrases. I love his films, in particular his appearance in Doctor in the House and various Carry-On films.
Ding Dong! takes on some of Leslie's English eccentricity by offering a delightful blend of Geranium and Rose as well as a hint of Vanilla and Menthol.'Ding Dong! is dark brown in colour, offers a medium to fine grind, and is lovely and moist. The Rustica Tobacco base is an absolute nicotine Powerhouse!

My favourite of the simply snuff range. The bergamot and floral notes hit hard at first then blend with the menthol as it rises. It's a lovely moist snuff, not at all dusty so it doesn't get down the back of your throat.
It pains me to write a review for a new product (for me) that has a negative aspect. But such was my observation, I felt compelled to write.
Let me list the positives first. Upon receiving my latest delivery, I excitedly tapped the tin down. Standard. Upon lifting the tin to my nose, a wonderful aroma assailed my snout.... subtle floral waftings, with hints of bergamot and tiny tickles of pine, converging in a mentholatum base. A goodly pinch up each nostril unleashed the beast ... Ding Dong indeed!! The floral notes swiftly gave way to earthy undertones, which suddenly sucker punched me with the menthol hit. And yes, the rustica is indeed a vitamin N powerhouse, as described by the creator(s) of this snuff.
Now, the downside. Upon tapping the tin and breaking the seal, I immediately noticed that the contents of the tin were well below the "plimsoll line", as you can see in the photo. The tin was noticeably below being ful . I weighed the contents of the tin. To my chagrin, the contents of the tin were 1.49 grams underweight. This is unacceptable. I understand slight variances in weight due to settlement, drying out, etc. But 1.49 grams?! Really ??
To conclude....simply snuff, this product is excellent. But you need to calibrate your weighing devices...or buy some new ones. Selling customers short on weights is not a good look for a business.
I bought a large amount of snuff. There was issues with terrifs but mr snuff was very good at communicating everything
