Viking - Scotch Dark
Viking Scotch Dark is built around a toasted note, which is the strongest flavour component, with a woody note forming the base. Citrus and ammonia are also among its tasting notes, and the ammonia note is present at first.
It is a moist snuff with a medium-fine grind. The tobacco base is dark and coarse in appearance, with a natural tobacco character and a salty edge. The blend is not mentholated, so the profile rests on the tobacco and the toasted and woody notes. Nicotine strength is strong.

I can compare this to M&W black Rappee, viking brown, and SG silky dark. All three have very similar scent. Scotch dark is also similar but less intense, less burn, less smokey. Very easy to take and very mild dark tobacco scent. May be for you if the other dark varieties are too strong/smokey. I prefer viking brown.

IMO this is slightly less coarse than taxi. It's much easier to sniff as a result.( For me taxi requires too much force to sniff. This however, is the perfect balance of grind) the flavor is terrific. Very similar to cope in that it is a moist "barnyard" only slightly less salty. I can use this both orally and nasally. So far my fave viking product.
Dark medium coarse and moist tobacco goodness. It is very similar to the old Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Brown which is no longer produced. The taste is woody and tobaccoish. I like it.
