A damaged Cuban cigar turned into snuff using the basic recipe from the forum's "Snuff making 101" thread, with a little Pusser's rum added the next day.
0 of 3 steps done
You'll need Tick as you go About 1/3 cup of tobacco flour, ground from a cigar Bicarbonate of soda, a little less than the basic recipe gives (if you have no washing soda) Salt, about half the amount the basic recipe gives 2 teaspoons water About 2/3 teaspoon Pusser's rum Method Step 1 of 3 Grind the cigar to a flour with a mortar and pestle, then sift it through a tea strainer.Step 2 of 3 Mix the bicarbonate and salt into the 2 teaspoons of water and work it into the flour.Step 3 of 3 The next day, mix in the rum.Rest time A day before the rum goes in.
Tasting notes Pretty fine, though the rum could come through a notch more.
Notes The post measures the bicarbonate and salt against the basic recipe and doesn't give its own figures.
