Dry cigar snuff with wood ash

Making from scratchbase blendIntermediate

From volunge on the Snuffhouse forum, 2023

A Don Tomas Churchill cigar, ground and mixed with ash from a wood-burning masonry stove. One part ash to four of tobacco gives it a big nicotine kick.

Tasting notes

Strong. It smells of nothing in the tin but releases plenty of ammonia once it's in the nose. Dry, it's like Dholakia's FUBAR Toasted without the roast. Oiled, it's close to Six Photo M.G. Madras without the Latakia.

Notes

Ash is alkaline, so wear gloves, and use ash only from clean wood. Sifting takes out the grit.
