Moistening snuff with rum or whisky

A dried-out snuff comes back with a little rum or good whisky. It works with any style and changes the flavour only slightly, and usually for the better.

Coffee grinderFor turning dried leaf or rolling tobacco into a fine powder.DropperFor adding essential oils or water a drop at a time.

Half a pint of spirit will moisten a great deal of snuff.
