Gawith Hoggarth Special M has a medium grind with moderate moisture and reddish brown colour. The blend combines camphor, menthol, and peppermint notes with a natural tobacco base. The peppermint is sweet rather than sharp, and the menthol is understated. Nicotine strength is medium.
The tobacco component has earthy notes that balance the mentholated elements. The camphor works as a counterpoint to the peppermint without overwhelming the blend's composition.

I'm not sure as to why this is named as it is. Maybe due to the slight mint scent. As my nose sees this the tobacco is the star and is quite good. There is a hint of mint maybe camphor and an ever so slight hint of menthol possibly. Overall the snuff is really good. I also really like this particular style of tin. I would give 4 stars but feel the naming is misleading.
A nice little snuff that smells like a candy cane upon opening the tap tin. Similar to Bernard’s Steifeprise but without the stiffness in the breeze. Ruddy brown and well ground, this mild snuff is a gentle elixir for Holiday Parties and over indulgences of Rum Cake with Hard Sauce.
