Shipping Update

Both DHL and Isle of Man Post (Royal Mail) inform us that their new US Tariff compliant delivery services will be restarted in the next few days. As soon as this happens, we will ship all outstanding orders. All parcels will be delivered.

We are committed to keeping your prices low. All delayed parcels will have their tariffs and duties paid by Mr Snuff.

What Is Happening?
On August 29, 2025, the U.S. suspended the "$800 de minimis" exemption for international shipments. This change has a significant impact on shipping from the Isle of Man to the U.S.

Tariffs and Duties
The most significant change is that commercial shipments, regardless of their value, are now subject to tariffs and duties. This applies to goods that were previously exempt under the $800 threshold. The current tariff rate for most UK-origin goods is 10%.

Suspension of Services
Many postal carriers and logistics companies, including DHL and Royal Mail, temporarily suspended parcel shipments to the U.S. in the days leading up to the rule change. This was done to allow them to adapt their systems to the new customs requirements.

Increased Costs
Shipping costs have increased for both businesses and consumers. This is due to the new tariffs, sales taxes, and additional handling or processing fees that many carriers are adding to cover the extra administrative costs associated with the new customs procedures.

Operational Challenges and Delays
Every shipment now requires a full customs entry, a more complex process than the simplified one previously used. This requires more detailed information from the sender and can lead to delays in delivery times as packages may be held until all duties and fees are paid.

Advice For US Customers
Please be aware that your package may be subject to tariffs, taxes, and handling fees upon arrival. This could result in unexpected costs and a longer delivery time.
