Rum-toasted Virginia and perique snuff

Making from scratchtoastIntermediate

From bryan on the Snuffhouse forum, 2008

A toast made from American Spirit Perique cigarette tobacco, a Virginia with a little perique and no additives. One cigarette gives only about a gram of snuff.

The post doesn't say whether 200 degrees means Fahrenheit or Celsius. Start at 200°F (about 93°C), and let the rum dry off before baking, because spirit vapour can catch light in a hot oven.

Method

Rest time

Overnight with the rum, though it probably doesn't need that long.

Tasting notes

Mild, with no burn but a strong nicotine hit and a pleasant toasted flavour. The rum taste bakes out completely.

Notes

The post gives no amounts for the rum or the baking soda.
