Spanish Folly: brandy and honey rustica

Making from scratchmoist and fermentedAdvanced

From Whalen on the Snuffhouse forum, 2009

A rustica blend, flavoured with Spanish brandy and local honey and kept warm while it changes. It starts out mealy and mild and turns dark and rich.

Rustica carries several times the nicotine of ordinary tobacco. Take very small pinches, and stop if you feel sick or dizzy.

Method

Rest time

Several days after the final grind. The base keeps improving as it ages.

Tasting notes

Subtle and sweet, with a hint of honeyed dates, a sweet Virginia note and something slightly Cuban. There's a little burn, and the buzz builds slowly.

Notes

Rustica is a strong tobacco.
