McChrystals Mulled Magic has a medium-fine grind with dry moisture and medium nicotine strength. The blend is clove-forward, with cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, anise, and orange as secondary notes. The colour is medium brown.

The clove note is strong and the spice blend creates an intense aroma. The fine grind and dry texture make it suitable for beginners, though the strong spicing requires measured dosing. The spice combination includes mulling spices commonly used in holiday beverages.

Small pinches of this limit the amount of Vitamin N you can realistically take at once. The levels are in line with most of McChrystal's family of snuffs. The moisture content is moderate, with minor clumping in the tin. The snuff is in line with McChrystal's family of snuffs, which are all about the same moisture with only modest differences. This medium-fine grind and base fluffiness make this snuff easy to use. The snuff can easily be pinched or taken from the anatomical snuff box. The semi-fine nature of this snuff, along with nearly the whole line of McChrystals, will withstand a modest breeze but not much more. The tobacco colour is brown, not light, not dark, just brown.

The moisture level, grind, and cut of this snuff, when combined with the very strong spiced clove mixture, can be harsh if snuffed too deeply into the nose. The sharp scents can cause a coughing fit more easily than other snuffs. Small sniffs go a long way.

Mulled magic sets the tone with bold notes of clove, cinnamon, and allspice. This snuff gives off heavy fall vibes, and the clove dominates. The mixture is enjoyable but only in the smallest of pinches. The snuff's quality is not in question, but if your nose can not handle a strong spiced note, then this may not be for you. This snuff blends well with GLACIER, as the clove bite can be balanced by the cool menthol, which complements it. If this were just a tad bit gentler on the nose, or added some base citrus, it would be a definite addition to any lineup anytime, but alas, we are not there.

This snuff brings to mind fond memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas, when Mom would put on a pot of potpourri to spruce up the scent of the whole home. Along with your favourite Oktoberfest beer, this snuff can earn a spot in your holiday rotation. Handled with care, it's a holiday tradition in a tin.
