Poschl - JBR - Black
JBR Black has a medium grind with medium moisture and a rust-brown to dark brown colour. The tasting notes are anise, liquorice, vanilla, cherry, and tonka bean, with camphor, eucalyptus, and cola as secondary notes. Menthol is medium-light, leaving the anise and liquorice as the primary aromatics. Nicotine strength is medium-light, in the low to medium nicotine range.
The texture is light with minimal residue. This is part of the JBR snuff family and extends that line with a menthol note set against a spice and fruit profile.

This was an impulse buy at a German tobacco shop and I was quite pleasantly surprised. Not as mentholated as other Poschl snuffs which makes it easier to take for me, who is not a huge menthol fan. It's probably most akin to Lowen Prise, although that is more aniseed, whereas this is straight up liquorice. That makes it not for everyone but I quite enjoy it. I must say I mostly struggle to pick up the vanilla notes.
A good one to have on the go when I don't have time to savour something special.
