Wilsons Ripple has a fine grind with moderate moisture and low nicotine content. The blend combines menthol with raspberry as the primary notes, supported by bergamot and natural tobacco. Secondary notes include blackberry and cream.

The menthol is strong and comes in waves, with the raspberry note developing as the menthol subsides. The fruit character is restrained rather than syrupy, and the tobacco base becomes apparent in the finish. This snuff uses a balanced method between its berry and cooling elements.

This snuff provides a moderate amount of Vitamin N. This snuff is great in the morning or as a treat throughout the day. Most snuffs are drier in nature, save for a select few that are truly moist. This snuff is dry in nature, with only minimal clumping in the tin. This is not bone dry like a "toast", which aids in pinching. The snuff is fine in nature, with a slight fluff from the processing, and medium brown throughout.

As there is just enough moisture in the tin, with a fluffy nature, this lends to an easy snuffing experience. The snuff is easily pinched from the tin as well as the anatomical snuff box.

RIPPLE, a modern successor to the older "Raspberry" blend, is a mentholated fruit snuff that finds a pleasant balance between sweetness and fresh fruit base notes. Out of the tin, the nose is greeted by a cool wave of menthol layered over a medley of berries. While Wilson's lists raspberry as the defining note, my impression leans closer to a mixed-berry profile. On the pinch, a sharp burst of menthol gives way to lightly sweet raspberry tones, supported by background hints of other berries. Unlike the jammy richness of Alpina or the fruit-forward punch of McChrystal's Summer Harvest or Sunblast, RIPPLE carries both its fruit and menthol on the same breath, neither dominating the other.

The fruit's sweetness is restrained rather than syrupy, and it remains consistent throughout the experience. As the menthol ebbs, a subtle tobacco base emerges, providing a simple end. It delivers all the elements I look for in a fruit snuff: a steady fruit foundation, balanced sweetness, and a refreshing menthol lift. If overtly sweet fruit snuffs have left you hesitant, RIPPLE may surprise you. It tempers its berry character with cooling menthol and a measured sweetness, making it an easy addition to any regular rotation.
